| Thanks to everyone who contributed delicious brunch items or volunteered time to help with our team event yesterday! It was a wonderful showing of the generosity and positive spirit within the PST community and so much fun to see the swimmers back together after the break. |
SafeSport: |
| With 2024 just starting, we would like to take this moment and ask all families to review our Swimmer Code of Conduct and Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy with their swimmers. The coaching staff will go over practice expectations and behaviors with their groups as well over the next few weeks, however it is helpful if parents could do the same at home. Here is an article that shows how quickly things can escalate. |

Job sign ups will open on our website on Monday, January 8th, at 8 p.m. and close on Wednesday, January 10th, at midnight. We will likely only have timing chair positions due to location/facility. |

Group Promotions: |
| All group promotions will be announced by January 25th and will take effect on Feb 1st. Our coaching staff takes promotions very seriously and we are currently in thoughtful discussions of whom we might want to move up, based on their competence, character, confidence and connection (ADM). Please be patient as we go through this rigorous process. |
New Families in Blue and Bronze: |
| If you have joined PST at the beginning of the 23/24 swim session (Aug/Sept) and your swimmer is in the Blue or Bronze group, then we would like to encourage you to reach out to your coach and schedule a meeting before Feb 1st to discuss their progress. Thank you to all the families that have already met with their coach in December. As per our new member policy, February will be your opportunity to leave PST, if this sport / our team isn’t the right fit for your athlete. |

| Watch this space for occasional fun facts and updates related to PST’s awesome officials. If volunteering as an official interests you, please reach out to Osa Wolff, PST’s officials coordinator. Fun fact for this week: Just because you see an official on deck raise their hand, don’t assume your swimmer will be DQ’ed. Sometimes an official will raise their hand because they see something unexpected, but ultimately decide it’s not a violation of the rules. :) |
