I’m entering my fourth year coaching with Machine Aquatics, having joined the staff in the 2022 season. My coaching philosophy is simple and effective: lead by example, provide excellent instruction, motivate through positive feedback, and strive for greatness.
I bring years of experience in coaching, swim instruction, and technique development. Prior to joining Machine, I coached the Ashburn Village Aqua Jets CSL summer league team for two seasons and worked with the Blue Wave club swim team for three consecutive years before the pandemic. I also coached the Frozen Jets developmental swim team during that time.
In addition to coaching competitive swimmers, I’ve taught group and private swim lessons, led Masters swim programs for two years, and coached youth basketball and football. I’ve also developed multi-sport skills programs for young athletes. Most recently, I served as Director of the Youth Program at The Fitness Equation in Chantilly, Virginia.
I attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, and remain deeply passionate about encouraging youth to reach their full potential while promoting a love of sport, growth, and competition.

Hi! I’m Coach Brian, and I’ve been part of the Machine Aquatics coaching staff for the past three years. If you’ve ever been to a meet, you’ve probably seen me—the big guy in the camo hat calling for timers!
I grew up swimming competitively in MCSL, PVS (RMSC), and later at Frostburg State University. Along the way, I earned multiple MCSL records, won a gold medal at Zones representing PVS, and set school records at Frostburg.
My coaching philosophy is simple: technique, technique, and more technique. I believe swimming should be both fun and challenging—because it builds strong athletes and teaches lifelong values.
Machine is truly a special program. My daughter swims here too, and I wouldn’t want her anywhere else. The positive environment fosters growth, confidence, and community—helping kids become great swimmers and even better people.

Hi, I’m Coach Tasha! I’m originally from Minnesota and moved to Virginia in 2021. I quickly discovered how popular summer swim is here and enrolled all three of my kids to help them improve their strokes. After our first season, I was invited to join their team as an assistant coach—and I’ve loved being on deck ever since!
Over the past three summers, I’ve coached summer league teams and found so much joy in helping swimmers refine their technique and gain confidence in the water. My connection to Machine began in March 2022, when my kids joined the team. I was drawn to Machine’s strong emphasis on stroke mechanics and was thrilled to be invited to coach that summer. Since then, I’ve worked with the Gears Green and Gears Silver groups at Ida Lee three days a week.
My swimming background includes competing in high school and participating in triathlons for over a decade. I started teaching swim lessons at 15 and became a lifeguard soon after.
Outside the pool, I’m a proud mom of three, a wife, and a Registered Nurse. If I’m not coaching, you’ll probably find me cheering on my kids at one of their practices or games.
I’m excited to be back for my third season with Machine Aquatics and can’t wait to see you on deck!
