Stuart Pliuskaitis – Lead Age Group Coach

Hi, I’m Victor Stuart Pliuskaitis, and I bring 8 years of coaching experience to the pool—including the past two with Machine, where I currently serve as the Lead Age Group Coach. I’m passionate about helping young athletes build strong fundamentals and confidence, and I strive to create a competitive yet fun environment where swimmers can grow both in and out of the water.

My own swimming journey began with SNOW Swimming, where I was a Junior National Qualifier. I continued my athletic career at the University of British Columbia—one of Canada’s top Division I programs—and trained at the Canadian Olympic Training Center. As a scoring member of the UBC swim team, I was proud to contribute to our national title win at the 2019 USports Championships.

I’m currently working toward a degree in Business Administration with minors in Environmental Science, City Planning, and Computer Science. Outside of swimming, I enjoy working with cars, building scale models, and woodworking. For me, coaching isn’t just a job—it’s an incredibly rewarding opportunity to support athletes as they overcome challenges, grow, and achieve their goals.

Greg York – Lead Senior Coach

Hi, I’m Greg York, Senior Coach at Claude Moore. I’ve been coaching for 47 years and am now in my fourth season with Machine Aquatics. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with swimmers of all levels—including five who qualified for the Olympic Trials.

My goal is to help every swimmer build a love for the sport, have fun, and continue growing into the next stage of their swimming journey. I’m always excited to celebrate a great swim with my athletes. And when I’m not on deck coaching, you’ll probably still find me at the pool—working on my tan!
