Evan Wrenn – Age Group Coach

I’m Evan Wrenn, and I’ve been coaching for over a decade. The 2025–2026 season marks my ninth year with Machine Aquatics. I came to swimming later than most, starting at age 13 during my freshman year of high school. I swam throughout high school and began coaching my local summer league team during my junior and senior years.
While attending George Mason University, I coached both summer league and USA Swimming programs, and I swam with the GMU club team for four years. After earning my degree in International Relations and spending a few years overseas, I returned to the DC area and rekindled my passion for coaching. I’m now excited to help launch Machine Aquatics at our new Chesterbrook site.
I enjoy working with swimmers of all ages and backgrounds, with a focus on strong fundamentals and building a lifelong love for the sport. I understand that every swimmer’s path is unique, and I aim to support each athlete in reaching their goals, both in and out of the water. My groups emphasize teamwork, technical development, and fun—creating a foundation for success at every level, from building endurance to elite competition.
No matter the destination, I’m committed to helping swimmers develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive in challenging situations—both now and in the future.

Paige Hall – Age Group Coach

Hi, my name is Paige Hall, and I’ve been connected to Machine Aquatics for most of my life. I started swimming with Machine when I was nine years old and continued until I left for college. I went on to swim and study at The Ohio State University, where I spent four years as a student-athlete. During my time there, our team won three Big Ten Championships, I individually qualified for NCAAs my junior and senior years, and I had the honor of serving as a team captain.
From 2019 to 2021, I served as the Head Junior Coach at Great Falls, and in the summer of 2025 I was fortunate to coach alongside Dan and Jason with the National Team and National Prep groups. These experiences have shaped my passion for developing athletes both in and out of the pool.
I strive to prioritize the whole swimmer—not just their athletic goals, but also their lives outside the pool, including family, school, hobbies, and other priorities. I emphasize the importance of building strong, technically sound strokes so swimmers can become the most efficient athletes possible. My goal is to instill the values of hard work, attention to detail, and leadership in every swimmer I coach.
I graduated from The Ohio State University’s Honors College with a degree in Biology and a minor in Environmental Science. Swimming has given me invaluable life lessons and skills, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge with athletes of all ages. Helping swimmers grow, both in their performance and as people, brings me joy and fuels my passion for coaching.
