Centennial arrived in Blaine on December 21, 2023 ready to preform and with seventy personal best time swims at the meet’s conclusion, a performance is what the Cougars gave to the fans in the Northdale pool stands. On Saturday Dec. 9 the Centennial Boys Swim and Dive team started the competitive season with a 3rd place finish the the Northwest Suburban Conference Relay meet. The cougars saw improvement from time trials in many time drops in this meet. The two meets that will be ones to watch will be Andover and Maple Grove come January. The Centennial Cougars sent four athletes to compete in the 2023 State Swimming and Diving Championship Tournament on March 3rd and 4th. The 200 Medley Relay team of Caleb Cregan, Max Scheurer, George Atkinson and Ben Condon swam their fastest time of the year with a 1:40.20 during the prelims meet on Friday evening. For the third time in the Centennial Boys Swim & Dive Team's nine-year history, it took second place at the Section 7AA Boys’ Swimming and Diving Championship Meet. Centennial ended its dual meet season by trouncing Blaine on February 2, 2003. During the lopsided meet, Centennial captured eleven first place finishes. The Cougars also had first and second place combination finishes in the 200 Freestyle, Diving and the 400 Freestyle Relay; and they swept the top three spots the 200 IM, the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Backstroke.
