Weather Policy

Exit the PoolDuring our summer swim season there is often a 50% chance of rain or storms daily. 

Swimming NOT allowed when:

  • Thunder is heard
  • Lightning is seen
  • A storm is active

Before the pool may be reopened, the coaches MUST wait 20 minutes from the last thunder clap.

We will always try to avoid canceling practice even when the weather forecast predicts a chance of poor weather. 

If the practice schedule is changed, you will be notified in the following ways:

 

When questionable weather is predicted, we ask that parents/guardians remain in close proximity to the pool, or arrange for a ride home for their swimmer if practice is called off early due to weather conditions.
