Policies & Family Agreements

Once a family has committed a child for the swim season, the following Policies are signed and executed. 

 

Volunteer Commitment Agreement

 

Parents/Guardians (must be over the age of 18) are required to complete a minimum of two volunteer shifts per family.  The two shifts must be at two different meets. Without your help, meets are not possible. Thank you in advance for your support and involvement!

I agree to the volunteer sign-up requirements stated at the beginning of each swim season, including serving in a minimum of two parent volunteer job commitments per family during the 2025 summer swim season. These volunteer requirements include the possibility of assisting at both home and away swim meets and/or the end of season party.

I understand that by not showing up for my scheduled volunteer role or not signing up to serve as a volunteer I may negatively impact our team as a whole including being able to host home meets and prevent caps on age groups of allowable swimmers per meet.

If I do not meet these minimum requirements I acknowledge that by not doing so may affect my child's ability to continue participation in the Hobcaw Creek Plantation summer swim team program.

 

 

Liability Waiver

 

By registering my child(ren) with the Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins, I agree to participate (or allow my child(ren) and family members to participate) in the Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins, and hereby release Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins, its directors, officers, agents, coaches, employees, and volunteers from liability for any injury that might occur to myself (or to my child(ren) and family members) while participating in the Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins program, including travel to and from training sessions, swim meets or other scheduled team activities.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the above mentioned organizations and/or individuals, their agents and/or employees, against any and all liability for personal injury, including injuries resulting in death to me, my child(ren) and/or other family members, or damage to my property, the property to my child(ren) and/or other family members, or both, while I (or my child(ren) or family members) participating in the Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins program.

 

 

Medical Release Waiver

 

I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian for my child(ren). I hereby give my permission for any supervisor, coach or other team administrator associated with the Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins to seek and give appropriate medical attention for our child(ren) in the event of accident, injury, illness. I will be responsible for any and all costs associated with any necessary medical attention and/or treatment.

I hereby waive, release and forever discharge Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins and associated supervisor, coach or other team administrator from all rights and claims for damages, injury, loss to person or property which may be sustained or occur during participation in Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins activities, whether or not damages or loss is due to negligence. I hereby acknowledge that my children is (are) physically fit and capable of participation in all Swim Team activities.

 

 

Refund Policy

  • Registration fees will be fully refunded if refund request is received before the first day of the swim season, starting on the first day of swim practice.
  • Registration fees will be fully refunded, minus a $25 administrative fee, if refund request is received within the first two weeks of the season.
  • 50% of Registration fees will be refunded if refund request is received after 14 days from the start of the season. 
  • No refund will be issued if refund request is received after 21 days from the start of the season.
  • In the event of extenuating circumstances, refund requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

 

Media Release

 

By registering my child(ren) I grant permission to Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins and East Cooper Swim League to use my child(ren)'s image (photograph/video) during swim practices and meets for the purpose of general publications, team webpage, and livestreaming of events.

 

I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photograph or electronic material that may be used in conjunction with Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins and East Cooper Swim League.  I understand that I am free to address any specific questions regarding this release by submitting those questions in writing prior to registering, and I agree that my failure to do so will be interpreted as a free and knowledgeable acceptance of the terms of this release.

 

 

COVID Waiver

 

By registering my child(ren) with the Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins, I acknowledge and understand the hazards of the novel coronavirus (COIVD-19) and am familiar with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines regarding COVID-19.  I agree to participate (or allow my child(ren) and family members to participate) in the Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins, and hereby release Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins, its directors, officers, agents, coaches, and employees from liability for any illness or injury that might occur to myself (or to my child(ren) and family members) due to COIVD-19 while participating in the Hobcaw Creek Plantation Dolphins program, including travel to and from training sessions, swim meets or other scheduled team activities.
