Registration 2026

2026 Season Highlights

• Team Suit included in the cost of registration- you will need to submit the suit size during the registration process.  See more details below.

Registration will prioritize as follows:

• First Priority (opens March 9): All families living in the Tallyn's Reach Neighborhood

• Second Priority (opens March 10): All returning swim team families and all Tallyn's Reach Neighborhood families

• Third Priority (opens March 11) : Registration opens to anyone

Team Requirements:

• Swimmers between the ages of 5 to 18 years old by June 1, 2026.

• Live in the Tallyn's Reach Community or surrounding area

• Swimmers must be "water safe" and be able to swim one length (25 meters) of the pool unassisted. They do not need to know all 4 competitive strokes. They will have opportunities to learn and improve on all 4 strokes. They will also learn how to dive from the side of the pool, work on flip turns, etc., throughout the season.

• Able to compete in a minimum of 2 Dual Meets and in Prelims/Championships - Meet Schedule TBD

• Able to attend as many practices as possible during the week. The more practices attended the more improvement and the better the experience.

• Swimmers must bring own equipment to practice: goggles, suit, towel, cap and water bottle (filled-cannot fill at practice).  Tentative practice schedule here.

• Each family MUST be willing to Volunteer at meets and/or at a variety of other events. Summer swim team doesn’t work without the family commitment.  We require every family to volunteer a minimum of 7 shifts. You can find volunteer job descriptions on the website under the Team Info tab. Jobs are based on availability and sign-ups will occur at the beginning and throughout the season.

• *****Volunteers:  must sign the Volunteer Policy as part of registration - families who do not complete required 7 shifts are subject to a one time charge.   Our Volunteer Coordinator is willing to work with families to find creative ways to complete shifts!  We will post meet sign ups in April so that families can plan around vacations and other activities. • Be ready to have FUN, FUN, FUN!  Not only will your kids learn swimming skills and good sportsmanship they will have fun doing it. Your kids will get to make new friends, enjoy Donut Mondays, Pancake Breakfast, Party in the Park and so much more!

Team Shirts are included in the cost of registration. You must include shirt size during registration. When in doubt, order a size larger (For 2025 it's a 65/35 poly/cotton blend, same as last year).  There will be no exchanges of shirts for incorrect sizing. 

Team Suits will be REQUIRED.  Team suits are included in the cost of registration.  You will need to provide the suit size during Registration.  Remember smaller is better as the material stretches.  **there will be no exchanges for incorrect sizing**  ​

***For Returning Swimmers - Prior year sizes will auto populate, doublecheck the size!

• For the 2025 season the team suit will be Dolphin
• Suit Fitting: April 6th from 1230-130pm at the Tallyn's Reach Clubhouse
• Suits can also be tried on at MI SPORTS prior to Registration. When you arrive, tell them you’re with the Tallyn’s Reach Tiger Sharks They’ll know what to do from there.

• It is OK to register prior to knowing the suit size
• If you register before doing a fitting or don't know your swimmers' size, you can enter a size 40.  After being fitted, you can change the size in your account (see instructions below).  Inputing a size 40 informs our Apparel Coordinator that you are getting sized.
• If your swimmer is size 18 or 20, this size is not populated in the registration system.  Please choose a size 40 and email us right away at [email protected] with the correct size.  This size typically only applies to 6&under swimmer.  Suits in size 18 or 20 will be solid black.

• If you need to change the SUIT OR SHIRT size after registering your swimmer, follow these steps:

  • ​Log into your TRTS Account

  • Click My Account (upper right) > Members (tab)

  • Click on each swimmer, scroll down to find the Suit or Shirt Size Box

  • Select the correct size from the drop down menu

  • Press SAVE

  • **changes can be made thru April 15**

Fees & Discounts: 

The 2025 membership fees (includes a team shirt, team suit):       

• $285 for the first swimmer

• $275 for the second swimmer

• $265 for the third swimmer

• $255 for the fourth swimmer, $10 off each additional swimmer 

• REFUNDS considered on a case by case basis 

There are scholarships available for those families in need.  The Scholarship Guidelines & Scholarship Applications are located in the Documents section of this website. 

Important Information:

• Please keep track of your User Name and Password.  If you are new to the team, you will need to create an account during the registration process. Your login information will be used throughout the season to manage your volunteer shifts and enter your swimmers in the dual meet.

• Your membership on the team will not be approved unless you agree to the MHSL Insurance Waiver during registration.

• We only accept Visa and Mastercard.  If you do not have a credit card, please go to your bank or local grocery store and purchase a gift card to cover the fees.

• Payment is due at the time of registration.  

• Spirit Wear and Caps will be sold after registration.  More information to follow.

• Registrations will be approved as per the priorities listed above. A receipt will be emailed once the swimmer(s) are approved.

• Make sure you print or save a copy of your Registration Receipt for your records.
