Lisa Harr
Guppy Coach
Lisa taught swim lessons to young swimmers for over 19 years, but has been retired for the past 5 years. We are thrilled that Lisa agreed to come back to our team to coach our guppys. She says about teaching swimmers, "I was thrilled when a swimmer was able to perform a new skill successfully and to witness how proud they were to attain the next level in their swimming." Smiles and high fives!! She enjoys riding her bicycle when the weather gets warmer, and walking most any day when the weather allows. She is very involved in her church group which brings me a lot of joy and she likes to work out at one of the local gyms. Then, of course, are her 3 grand babies! They are such a bright spost in her life! Lisa loves to be with them to play with trucks or puzzles, build towers, make crafts, or read books.
Sarah Barber
8 & Under Coach (4:00 pm Practices)
We’re thrilled to welcome Sarah to SRA this season as our 8 & Under coach! Sarah began swimming competitively at just 5 years old and has been passionate about the sport ever since. Her favorite strokes are backstroke and freestyle, and she brings over five years of coaching experience. She’s excited to share her love of swimming and help our youngest athletes develop solid technique and learn legal strokes from the start. Outside the pool, Sarah is a busy mom of three—ages 15, 12, and 10—so you might spot her cheering from the sidelines with her kiddos throughout the season. She also works as a certified personal trainer, helping people of all ages build strength, agility, and power. When she’s not coaching or training, Sarah enjoys baking (especially sourdough!) and spending time outdoors exploring our beautiful state.
Developmental Leadership Program
Assistant Coaches and Junior Coaches
Our coaching staff includes dedicated teens who want to learn how to become a coach (Junior Coaching Program for 13 years and older) and those who have demonstrated coaching proficiency and a great attitude. Our coaches go through an application and interview process, attend training and work during practices and swim meets. We couldn't make this team a success without this home-grown leadership program and appreciate all of our coaches. If your swimmer is interested in becoming a junior or teen coach, please contact our head coach at: [email protected]
