CLERK OF COURSE
The Clerk of Course position helps keep swimmers organized and moving efficiently during the heating phase of the swim meets. This can be a Board Position but not required. For more information, click here.

2025 OFFICIANT TRAINING
During swim meets, we are required to have officiants who are trained by the league to keep our meets fair for all swimmers. A Stroke and Turn Judge volunteers by standing at the beginning or end of the lanes at the meet and observes the swimmers to make sure all are swimming legal strokes and everyone gets a fair race. The Starter is the volunteer who says, "Swimmers Take Your Mark" and presses the horn to start the race. The Meet Ref is responsible for making sure the officiants have all of their supplies, the meet runs smoothly and timely and all swimmers are safe. The Deck Ref helps the starter run the meet by watching the swimmers in the water, blowing command whistles and listening to the Stroke and Turn Judges call in any infractions or disqualifications they see.
