Good evening all, As you may already know, we are currently experiencing issues with our HVAC system. Our team has identified a solution, and is expecting to have things fixed by the following Thursday if everything goes to plan, but the parts required will not be ready until Monday. Since the conditions in the natatorium aren't going to improved until repairs are completed, we will need to postpone the distance meet that was scheduled for this Sunday. The meet this Saturday is still a go, as that is at Fidalgo...

Hi team, We are going to be canceling swim practice today and tomorrow. While we are working on repairs, it seems like the capacity of the pool is shortened, especially for competitive/training purposes. Dryland practices on Friday will still be going on, and we will look into trying to organize an impromptu dryland practice for our Riptide group on Friday as well. We will be using the data gathered from low attendance/population times on the pool deck to inform us whether or not to cancel/postpone our Sunday meet. Best, Joseph...

Good morning Tritons, The Special Olympics swim team is starting back up on Thursday, February 19th and will be from 7:00pm-8:00pm. They are looking for volunteers to help facilitate practice like last year, and will be practicing every Thursday from 19th to April 16th! Volunteers ages 11-13 have to have an adult present, and volunteers 14+ can be solo. Volunteers will be in the water providing feedback, reminding athletes what the practice is, and will be supporting the coach. (I've signed up to coach for them again this year). Good...

Hi all, I just heard that the Last Chance Qualifier meet that was supposed to take place in Stanwood has been canceled. I will be reaching out to Bremerton/Grays Harbor who are also hosting a Last Chance meet to see if they would be willing/able to accommodate any of our swimmers who need that last meet. No PNS/USA meets in that timeframe either. If I am able to get things together to set up a meet here, let me know if that is something we have the interest for. It...

Hi team! Got this message from the polar plunge hosts and thought I would share for those who haven't registered yet! As a reminder, we are planning to attend the world record attempt for the polar plunge this year (NOT at lake padden). The registration link will ask you about the group you are with; I typed in Skagit Valley YMCA Swim Team. I'd recommend typing it out and not just the acronym so that the organizers know that we are together. I'm planning to park at the birch bay...

Let's start with the upcoming Winter potluck and sock exchange The potluck is open to all swim team families (close relatives are welcome) When: Wednesday, December 17th (practice...
