The Trails Swim Team won its Invitational swim meet at Lions Armstrong Memorial Pool in Algonquin on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Trails finished the event with 628 points, besting the Geneva River Rats (592), Cary Barracudas (437), HealthBridge Hammerheads (146), Elgin Y Pelicans (134), Dundee Dolphins (120) and Huntley Stingrays (42). The Algonquin Trails Swim Team took home the Northern Illinois Swim Conference B Championship on Saturday, July 16, led by head coach John Jost and the coaching staff: Maggie Gomberg, Faith Terlecki, Marissa Gerritsen and Kayleigh Kozlowski. Trails beat out second place McHenry Marlins by 600 points, followed by McGuire Aquatics, Antioch Waves Swim Team and Belvidere Barracudas.
