Day 3 Finals continued the trend of tough racing and great swims. The night started with Desiree and Kelli getting 11th (1:14.64) and 12th (1:16.04) in the 100 Free. Another strong morning for the Piranha swimmers. The team looks to add to their point totals with many finals swims earned this morning. In the 5-10 100 Free, Desiree and Kelli are seeded 9th (1:15.95) and 12th (1:16.96). In the 400 Free, Faith is seeded first for 13-14 with a 4:39.01, Alissah is 14th (5:01.54) and Lexie 16th (5:17.64). For 15-18, Kat is 2nd with a 4:34.5. The Piranhas had another stellar night session at the JO meet! The team is holding in the 10th spot as one of the smaller teams at the meet. Best times and big points for the team at the finals were highlighted by many great swims. The Piranhas capped off a great day of swims by compiling 8th place points out of 28 teams. There were many great races but the highlight of the evening was that of Faith's 200 backstroke where she dropped another 4 seconds to post a time of 2:24.73 and win her event, she also placed 2nd in the 200 fly. July 26, 2011- the Piranhas swim team is sending a squad to the 2011 Summer Junior Olympics in Thousand Oaks, Ca. The meet will run from Wednesday, July 27 - Sunday, July 31st. This past Saturday, 11 Piranhas competed in the Summer Sizzler held at the Redlands High School. The day started with the 10 and unders showing off some great swims followed up by the older swimmers in the afternoon. There were great results for all, new and seasoned swimmers alike. July 12 - The North American Challenge Cup has selected two Piranhas to represent Southern California Swimming. Kat Wickham and Shelby Andrade were both selected based off of their performances this season. The North American Challenge Cup is an international Age Group Competition open to application by registered athletes from Southern California Swimming ages 11 through 18 as of August 4, 2011.
