The NAC Age Group banquet, which took place last week, honored several of our athletes for their accomplishments throughout the season. The banquet recognized athletes and the accomplishments of the program from the 2014 long course season and 2015 short course season. Nashville Aquatic Club swimmers dominated the Middle School and High School Region Championships over the weekend. Athletes represented their middle and high schools at meets held on Friday, January 30 and 31. At the Middle School Championships, NAC athletes dominated the 16 individual events with 12 championship finishes, 6 meet records and over 50 Top 8 swims. USA Swimming announced the time cuts for the 2016 USA Swimming Olympic Trials - the fastest swimming meet in the world - on Thursday, September 18. 6 NAC athletes have been selected as Scholastic All-Americans for the 2013-2014 season. Congratulations to Elena Escalas, Byron Grant, Carrie Johnson, Sophie Pilkinton, Elizabeth Stinson, and Tatum Wade! Scholastic All-Americans must maintain at least 3.5 GPA as well as achieve a time standard to be able to be recognized for this program. NAC Associate Head Coach Doug Wharam has been honored as one of the top ten age group coaches in America. The American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA), in partnership with the Fitter and Faster Swim Tour recognized ten coaches from across the country for this honor. The award is based on performances of 14 and Under athletes from the Long Course 2013 and Short Course 2013-2014 seasons. Congratulations, Doug!

NAC Head Coach John Morse has been selected by USA Swimming as the Team USA men's head coach for the 2014 Junior Pan Pacific Championships to be held in Maui, Hawaii at the end of August. This will be the second time Morse has been selected as the head coach of USA Swimming's top 18 and under squad.
