The Nashville Aquatic Club captured their 32nd SES Championship meet title this past weekend. The meet, hosted by NAC at the Centennial Sportsplex featured outstanding swims across all age groups! The 13-14 NAC Boys set two meet and Southeastern Swimming records in the 400 Freestyle Relay (Defore, Stopkotte, Patrick, Robinson) and the 400 Medley relay (Robinson, Kyriakidis, Patrick, Defore). Nashville Aquatic Club swimmers competed in the Southeastern District Championship last weekend. The team walked away with twelve new Southeastern swimming qualifiers and a total of 30 new SE qualifying times! NAC Senior swimmers Elizabeth Stinson and Taylor Charles were chosen by USA Swimming to attend National Select Camp, to be held in Colorado Springs, CO January 24-27th, 2013. Nashville Aquatic Club athletes had an extremely successful weekend at USA Swimming Winter Junior Nationals, held December 6-8, 2012 at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. Fifteen NAC athletes made the trip, and, as a team, had one of their best showings in recent years. USA Swimming released the 2013 Club Excellence results, and NAC once again captured the Gold Medal distinction - USA Swimming's highest honor. NAC outdistanced it's closest Southeastern Swimming competitor by almost 20,000 points, and was once again the only Southeastern Swimming club named a Gold Medal team. NAC athletes swam incredibly well at this year's Music City Invitational, hosted by NAC from November 30-December 2, 2012. The meet featured the best regional competition, and brought teams from all across the region including St. Louis, Ohio, Kentucky, and more!
