Healdsburg and Windsor High Schools are starting their dual meets this week. We will hold a limited practice on those meet days for White, Blue and Senior groups from 6:30-7:30pm. There will be no practice for Seahorse and Red groups. The USA women went 1-3 in the 400IM, with the Neptunes’ Maya DiRado winning the event in 4:50.07, just ahead of fast closing Ellen Gandy of Great Britain. Pacific swimming hosted their annual awards banquet this past Saturday in Napa and 4 Neptune swimmers were honored with awards. Swimmer of the year honors went to Jenna Bauer (10-under), Maya DiRado (13-14), Molly Hannis (15-16) & Amanda Sims (17-18). The 2007 Short Course Nationals came to an end on Saturday much the same way it began, with strong performances from the Neptunes and American records falling in finals. CONGRATULATIONS to River Poze - our 2006 Swim-A-Thon top money earner with over $2500 of donations brought in to the team. River's reward was a fully paid trip to the University of California at Berkeley's swim camp. River had a great experience and represented Neptune Swimming very well. Great job River.
