USA Swimming parent symposium set for April 25 -- All parents are invited to a USA Swimming Parent Symposium to be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Sunday, April 25 at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale. Finals at Far Westerns to be streamed live over the Internet -- Almaden Swim & Racquet Club, host of Short Course Far Westerns Championships, has partnered with Swimming World and Pacific Swimming to stream live coverage of finals at Far Westerns on April 8-11. Finals are expected to begin at 5 p.m. each day and can be viewed at http://www.swimmingworld.tv. Access is free. There will be live commentary and interviews with swimmers. The above statement was made in an announcement at the Pacific Swimming web site. This is exciting news.

Out of the blue waters of the Hartnell Pool, Dr. Matt Jones of the senior group swam a Pacific Masters Swimming record in the 50 fly going a 23.83..
