Zone 1 South Meet Championship Report for MCAT Participating Swimmers: 46 Entered: 51 Coaches Attending: 5 The MCAT participation in the 2010 Zone 1 South Championships was formidable. Our team looked good, sporting team beanies and scarves. Parents fulfilled their responsibilities in timing, marshaling, and officiating. But, most important the kids had a great time and swam well. Grant Hashimoto was honored by Pacific Swimming this Saturday, January 2,2010 at the Pacific Swimming Awards Banquet for his outstanding sportmanship and leadership. He was selected for this honor by vote of the coaches . Frigid temperatures, rain, ice, wind and long days did not stop Celeste Valdez and Toby Macabugao from performing best times at The Pacific Swimming SC Junior Olympics meet in Pleasanton this past weekend. Celeste Valdez had qualified for numerous events this JO's and was more relaxed and focused at this meet than her first JO's. She looked good. Another beautiful weekend on the Central Coast. Speaking of beautiful, I need to mention the quality of our swimmers starts and streamlines. Awesome best describes our team at all levels. We had the best starts,streamlines and breakouts of all teams participating in the meet. We also had the fastest 49er relay team on Saturday. We took first in the 200 medley relay.
