We had a very good first week and the hot weather kept the pool warm without having to heat it. We have turned the propane on now and the temperature is being maintained between 79-80 degrees. We will have practice unless it is thundering. Our goal is to have dryland available for our older kids for the first hour while our younger kids are swimming. High School Stroke Clinic held at ACAC's Downtown location beginning Saturday, September 10th and held the following Saturdays: September 10th, 17th, 24th, October 1st, 8th, 22nd, 29th, and November 12th. There are two sessions, each limited to 16 swimmers. Session A is from 5:30-6:30pm; Session B is from 6:30-7:30pm. Locker rooms are available. Fee is $90. FAST membership not required. Space is limited, so register now.

We need a female marshall for the first session - your swimmers will remain on deck and all you are doing is making sure kids don't run on the steps and make a mess in the locker room. You have access to the deck to see your swimmer. We need a male hall marshall and a Male Team Leader (preferably a dad of a 9-10 yr old boy but we'll take a dad of a 13-18 too). Just a reminder that there will be no practice tomorrow (Wednesday, July 27th) at Health Nutz in the afternoon or evening. We don't rent the pool on Wednesdays due to the competition schedule, so we won't have it tomorrow night either.
FAST Families, We will be collecting Flower Power fundraisers on Thursday when we give out the champs bands to the swimmers. It's time to get excited for the JSL Championship Meet. There will be a lot of information coming your way this week and I hope you are as excited as the swimmers. We usually see lots of personal best swims at champs and the kids have a great time getting into the excitement!
