If we have time after the regular events are concluded, we may run a couple of time trial heats for swimmers who want another chance at an IM time. If your swimmer wants to participate, please let Cos/Diana know and please plan to stay around and time for these heats.

FAST Warm-Ups start are scheduled to start at 5:45 - please be in the shaded, grassy circle outside the pool by 5:30 for stretches . We will start at 6:15. We will be moving to 8 lanes with this pool so the meet should be done before 10. They are keeping the pool open until 5:00 for members as a compromise to taking the pool hours away from members so their staff will need time to reorganize the deck and get ready for the meet. Just a clarification that since we are swimming our meet tonight instead of last night, there are no practices, learn-to-swim or other swim programs this afternoon and evening at Health Nutz or Camp Friendship.

FCC has a meeting at 8:30 to determine if they can host the meet this evening. As soon as that is confirmed we will update the website and facebook. Paula

On Wednesday we are at our home pool in Louisa. Please meet at 4:45 pm outside the Louisa pool for stretches. Please remember, unless you are paying customer, we are not allowed on the pool deck prior to 5:00 pm. Also, coolers may not be brought on deck until 5:30. FAST Families, Far be it from me to get ahead of ourselves, however, in order to pull off the JSL Championship meet, requires a lot of organization and advance planning. As you will see in emails today, it takes 4 sessions to accomodate the 3,000 swimmers in the JSL. Granted they all don't swim the championship meet, but it is a large undertaking and after 45 years of doing this, they have the process down to a science for the most part. Coach Cos wants to invite all the FAST Families to join his family at the Fluvanna Carnival to watch the fireworks tonight! The carnival at Pleasant Grove opens at 6 pm, there will be live music at 7:30 pm and the fireworks are scheduled to start at 10:00 pm. Wear a FAST t-shirt and show your team spirit!
