This past weekend the YFD swimmers split into two pools for the 2012 Winter Junior Olympics. By the time the water settled, the Flying Dolphins had outdone themselves, braking 23 team records, capturing 4 Junior Olympic Titles, and placing in the top eight 23 times. The Flying Dolphins Flippers team finished the season with a splash at the Metro 8 & Under Championships. The Flying Dolphins Senior Team posted some impressive swims at the 2012 Metro Region Senior Mets Winter Champs. While the meet was a challenging format of prelims in short course yards and finals in long course meters, all participating swimmers managed to start the championship season off with a bang. The YFD swimmers continue their excellent tradition this year at the 2012 Metropolitan Zone Qualifier Meet. The last tune-up prelim/final meet before the championships was a very good measure where the team stands, with some impressive swims that give us high hopes to end the short course season with a bang.
