Fundraising
Each family is required to earn $62.50 in fundraising each quarter, beginning in September of each year. Families may carry over excess fundraising to the next quarter but not to the following year.
Fundraising quarters:
Sept. 1 through Nov. 30 (billed on Dec. 1st)
Dec. 1 through Feb. 28 (billed on March 1st)
March 1 through May 31 (billed on June 1st)
June 1 through Aug. 31 (billed on Sept. 1st)
The opportunities we provide to earn fundraising include annual Scrip Programs, Swim-a-thon, and Meet Sponsorships. Click on each of the options below for more information.
Scrip Programs
Families can select from several Scrip programs to reach their annual fundraising goal. Options include Basha's/AJ's reloadable gift cards, Shop with Scrip gift card orders, Fry's Community Rewards, and E-Scrip program. Each opportunity is outlined on the Scrip Programs page.
Swim-a-thon
This is an annual event hosted by the club in mid-November that includes fun, family friendly activities for all SAC families in addition to the swimming portion of the event.
- The goal for each swimmer is $125.00. Additional donations raised over the swimmer's goal will go towards the family's fundraising commitment.
- Prizes are awarded to swimmers who achieve set fundraising milestones.
Sponsorship opportunities range from $25 to $500 for various SAC events throughout the season. SAC hosts 8-10 swim meets per year, ranging from 200 local athletes to 800 athletes from various states across the country. Swim meets provide the most flexibility and personalization of sponsorships to SAC families and area businesses.
SAC tries to provide its members with opportunities to earn the fundraising money rather than incurring an out of pocket expense. See the fundraising tab for information on our scrip programs.
We hope each family values the experience of being part of Scottsdale Aquatic Club and we welcome additional fundraising beyond the $250 annual minimum.
