Gold Medal had 16 swimmers represent Arizona at the All Star Meet vs the San Diego Imperial LSC. Notably, Gold Medal had the highest number of swimmers selected to the team from any club in AZ. Swimmer of the Month for Age Group One Leah Bushko had a great December meet with 7 best times and made it back for finals in 6 of her events! This includes a 6 second drop in her 100 free, 10 second drop in her 100 fly, and her first time under 30 seconds in the 50 free. Leah has also had near perfect practice attendance and an amazing attitude and mindset at workouts!

Senior III Of the 7 participants for Senior III at the SAC meet, Aliya Hawkins, Brendan Skaggs, Chris Laprath, and Alex Gonzales all earned spots in the finals. Many new best times were set for group. The most outstanding performance was turned in by Alex Gonzales who placed top 8 in all 4 of his events, and established his first state qualifying time in the 50 Freestyle!

Jack Luken, a senior at Desert Vista High School has committed to swim at the University of Michigan. Michigan is one of the top academic schools in the country, as well as one of the top swimming schools in Division I of the NCAA.
