What a terrific weekend at the SCAR Winter Classic! So much fun and plenty of fast swimming. Everyone had a great time racing long course for the first time this season. The Beast had many new Regional qualifiers and plenty of incredible performances. The Belleville Beast Swim Team hosted over 450 athletes at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. Teams from Amherstview, Port Hope, Stittsville, Perth, Milton, Ottawa, Picton, Carleton Place and Nepean attended. CLICK HERE FOR FULL RESULTS The Beast had 55 swimmers race at the competition. The team managed to take off 1670 seconds; almost 28 minutes dropped! There were 24 swimmers who achieved 100 percent best times. Francis Brennan broke three team records, the 50m and 200m backstroke (27.87 and 2:06.40, respectively), and the 100m freestyle (53.90).
