Belleville – At home in the Templeman Menninga Aquatic Centre (TMAC), the Belleville Youth Swim Team placed second overall out of ten teams. Over 460 athletes from all over Ontario attended the exceptionally fast swim meet. The 81 member BYST team finished 38 points behind the Ernestown Barracudas from Amherstview, but ahead of the powerhouse Nepean Kanata Barracudas who secured third spot. Brantford – The Belleville Youth Swim Team finished in the top ten at the Ontario Division II Team Championships. Every swim team in Ontario is divided into three separate Divisions. The BYST has always been in Division III. Last season the team placed near the top and were given the option to either stay down in Division III or move up to Division II. Belleville – The Belleville Youth Swim Team hosted their first of four meets this season and nearly 400 athletes attended. The BYST posted a remarkable 90 percent personal best times and earned 108 medals; 48 gold, 35 silver and 25 bronze. There was no team scoring at this event, however the BYST definitely dominated the competition against 10 other swim clubs from across Ontario. There were many multiple medalists from the BYST.
