Rapids’ 12 Unders Qualify 5 to Provincials June 27, 2012 It was a great weekend for the Richmond Rapids’ 12 & under program. The team sent 19 swimmers to the BC AA Championships in Victoria. Local Swim Meet Brings Great Swimmers Together Thanks to Some Great Help May 5, 2012 This year’s West Coast Open Swim Meet hosted by the Richmond Rapids was a great success. Four-hundred and fifty swimmers from around the Lower Mainland Region competed at Watermania this past weekend. Mies Shootman Swim Meet Great Success For Richmond Swimmers April 19, 2012 The Mies Shootman Invitational hosted by the Canadian Dolphins Swim Club remembers the substantial contribution of its namesake. Shootman, who was inducted into the BC Swimming Hall of Fame as a builder was a huge contributor in Provincial swimming. The Richmond Rapids Swim Club attended the meet in her honour with the hopes of the next level of personal achievements. Eye Opening Experience for Dekker April 6, 2012 Touted as some of the fastest, most exciting swimming in Canada for a long time, this year’s Canadian Olympic-Paralympic Trials were a treat to see. While most people settled for watching the meet on CBC or via Swimming Canada’s live webcast, Nicolaas Dekker (17) lived it.
