Even if days one through three had been easy, day four of Provincial Championships promised to be a hard-fought battle. With the top six teams in close contention, every point mattered, and every race was going to be a tough one for the worn out athletes. The races were all difficult, all consistently tight, down-to-the-wire dragouts. The province was stepping up. Times were consistently faster than they were at 2011 Long Course AAAs, and records were being broken left and right. It took a mental strength sofar unrequired this season. Anything...

Day 3 was a high point for the Rapids Provincial Team. After slipping in the ranks on Friday, our athletes came back fighting strong, earning the best medal count we've had all weekend. With Kevin Ye taking the Gold, Max Schaffler taking Silver, and Jerry Liu taking Bronze, the Rapids accomplished a feat rarely seen. In an edge-of-your-seat battle, the Boys 12&U A team (Berry, Rakchtis, Hsing, Murray) earned the Gold in the...

"We knew it would be tough to hold on to that second place spot through Friday," said Coach Drew McClure. "It was through great performances in finals that we were able to stay near the top of...

"That's because our swimmers learned from those mistakes and used them to prepare for the next race. That made for success." And lots of successes were had! The Rapids walked away with...
