Bronze Squad
Bronze Squad | Ages 13 and Up (13 as of December 1st of current training season)
Bronze Squad is designed for the experienced age group swimmer, 14 & up, who are preparing to compete for their high school teams. Swimmers continue to work on stroke technique while improving stroke speed through faster test sets and aerobic workouts. Athletes are disciplined in their approach to training and starting to be self-reflective in regards to technique.The primary focus is to help each swimmer reach their individual swimming goals with five practices being offered each week. Swimmers may progress to Gold as they meet the requirements for consideration.
Standards of Training and Performance for swimmers on Bronze Squad:
- Bronze Squad offers 6 practices per week and swimmers are encouraged to attend a minimum of 4 practice per week for the full duration of practice.
- Swimmers are expected to be able to constantly complete practice sessions as designed/instructed.
- Swimmers are encouraged to compete in swim meets as outlined in program information, including the Championship meet of the highest level for which they qualify and aim to achieve an IMX Score each season.
- Swimmers challenge themselves to perform to the utmost of their ability in practice and in swim meets. Athletes at this level demonstrate a high level of sportsmanship and begin to understand the traits of a positive leader and endeavor to become one.
