Silver Squad

Silver Squad | Ages 11 - 14 (11 as of December 1st of current training season)

Silver Squad is for experienced to advanced age group swimmers 11-14 years old, with improved technique and a strong aerobic base in all four strokes that challenge themselves to perform to the utmost of their ability. They implement their race training in all four strokes, as well as in the individual medley races, and attend meets throughout the season in accordance with the season plan. At this level, swimmers begin to understand and take responsibility for attendance, performance, and training habits and how these three relate to meet performance. Six practices are offered each week, with a minimum expectation of four practices. Swimmers will either progress to Bronze or Gold.

Standards of Training and Performance for swimmers on Silver Squad:

  • Silver Squad offers 6 practices per week and swimmers are expected to attend a minimum of 4 practice per week for the full duration of practice. 
  • Swimmers should have an IMX Score of 1800 or have achieved two (2) 11-12 Long Course MV Champs Time Standards.
  • Swimmers are expected to be able to consistently complete practice sessions as designed/instructed. 
  • Swimmers are expected to compete in swim meets as outlined in program information, including the Championship meet of the highest level for which they qualify
  • Swimmers challenge themselves to perform to the utmost of their ability in practice and in swim meets. Athletes at this level demonstrate a high level of sportsmanship and begin to understand the traits of a positive leader and endeavor to become one.
