How to Join Wichita Swim Club

Welcome to the Wichita Swim Club! If you are interested in joining our club, you are in the right place! The first step in joining is to receive a training group recommendation from a member of our staff. From there, we will help get your athlete registered for either our competitive team or swim school.

 

When can I bring my swimmer in for an assessment?

We offer swimmer assessments for new swimmers interested in joining our club. Contact us to learn more!

Swimmers should arrive ready to swim in a swim suit, with goggles and a swim cap, if preferred.  You will be asked to fill out a form upon arrival. Assessments usually take around 30 minutes, but plan to spend up to an hour at the pool.

What happens after my swimmer is evaluated?

  • The coach will discuss the results of the assessment and recommend the appropriate squad for your athlete.
  • The coach will answer any questions you have about the squad or the team in general.
  • You will also have the opportunity to speak with the office staff about the registration process.
  • You will then be ready to register your swimmer for either our competitive team or will be referred to our Swim School.

Registering your swimmer: 

  • We have an online process to register swimmers through our website www.wichitaswimclub.org
  • From the home page on the website click on the Start Registration link, located on the upper right hand side of the page. 
  • Follow the prompts to create an account and register your swimmer for the recommended training group.
  • You will be able to sign all documents online and pay the necessary fees.
  • Once your account has been approved, your swimmer will be eligible to attend practice!
  • If you have any questions about the registration process, please call or come into the office between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM Mon-Thurs or 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Fridays.

What if my swimmer is not ready for Swim Team? 

  • Swimmers not quite ready to join our competitive team will be directed to our Swim School.
  • This program is geared towards making swimmers water safe, while also giving them the skills necessary to join a swim team.
