Wichita Swim Club and DEI

As the largest competitive team in the Wichita area, we are committed to growing our swimming community at the local level. Our mission of overall team success through community, individual achievement and competitive excellence aims to provide a program where everyone feels welcome to explore their potential and feel a sense of belonging. We are committed to supporting that initiative through DEI Trainings within our competitive team and partnering with Speedo’s Wavemaker program to create opportunities of outreach within our community.

WSC DEI Training

WSC is proud to present another training in our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion workshop series. The information presented in this training will be a continuation of the discussion from previous workshops and will not be a repetition of the same info. Because of this, we encourage all of our athletes to attend and be part of the conversation. We will be providing Jimmy John's for all sessions!

There are currently no events scheduled.

To register for the event, refer to our Team Events page.

Below is a description of the workshop from our DEI educators, Inclusive Growth Strategies:

"Diversity 101" is a workshop aimed at celebrating the beauty of diversity and promoting a sense of belonging. Through engaging activities and discussions, attendees learn to embrace the unique qualities and backgrounds that make each of us special. This is an opportunity for dialogues on personal cultures, traditions, and identities. This starts the opportunity for fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for diversity. This workshop encourages empathy, kindness, and cultural humility to create a more inclusive environment where attendees can begin to understand the importance of feeling valued and accepted.
