Interested in coaching with Wichita Swim Club?
Wichita Swim Club is a USA Swimming year-round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for swimmers of varying abilities ages 6-18.
We are seeking part-time coaches to help assist in the administration and supervision of workouts under the direction of our full-time staff. Applicants can apply to work as little as 3 hours a week or as much as 15 hours a week. Pay commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum Age: Must be at least 18 years of age
Schedule: September - May: Monday - Friday 3:45 PM - 7:45 PM; Saturday 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
June - July: Monday - Friday 4:00 - 7:30 PM
Coaching Experience: Preferred, but not required. We offer training for part-time staff, as needed. Competitive swimming experience preferred and the ability to work with athletes of all ages and abilities required.
Certifications: Must be CPR Certified, Lifeguard or Safety Training for Swim Coaches Certified and USA Swimming certified. To become a certified coach through USA Swimming, applicants must complete the following prior to start date:

▪ Athlete Protection Training
▪ Concussion Protocol Training
▪ USADA Coaches Advantage Tutorial
▪ Welcome to USA Swimming Certification
▪ Quality Coaching Framework Certification
▪ Core Certification
All Training will be payed for/reimbursed by Wichita Swim Club.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Supervises athletes and assists Lead Coach in running/monitoring all scheduled practices, as needed
To organize/direct training group practices and provide positive, constructive feedback to swimmers throughout each practice with enthusiasm, while remaining professional at all times
To arrive 15 minute prior to scheduled practice time and remain 15 minutes concluding practice to discuss any issues or questions with parents/coaching staff (Leave the deck and clock out if not actively coaching)
Attend all scheduled meets hosted by WSC and additional away meets as needed, at the request of the Head Coach

The Wichita Swim Club Swim School has openings Swim School Instructors. We will provide the training necessary to be able to teach in the Swim School. A job here at the Swim Club means you get to work with children and help them acquire a life long skill. It is rewarding and exciting to watch a child learn a new skill, overcome a fear, or ready themselves for the swim team.
