Practice Objectives:   The Developmental groups are open to all ages and designed for swimmers new to the sport of swimming. No competitive experience is necessary. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle (with safe, proper side-breathing mechanics)  and backstroke, as well as have the desire to learn all 4 strokes. This group will focus on the fundamentals of body position and proper technique, as well as building endurance and learning basic racing skills including racing dives and turns. This group is intended to develop an enthusiasm for swimming. This group has practice offerings five days a week for 45-60 minutes each day. While not required, swim meet participation is highly encouraged.  Please refer to the Team Calendar and the specific group for practice times and location.
