Lewiston was a great meet! Despite the cold and wind on Saturday, the kids swam great in the first long course meet of the season. They continued to swim even better on Sunday when the clouds blew out and the weather warmed up. A few kids managed to get outdoors to swim, please be aware of our thunder and lightning policies. We will post on the web-site and facebook if there is a cancelation and at what facilities. At the outdoor pools & Whitworth, the water must be cleared for 30 minutes past the last sighting. For the longer practices, we will not cancel unless there is a prolonged storm in the area. Friday May 10th in the afternoon I left for Indianapolis for the Short Course Masters National Championships. In the last couple of years Dan Sheahan also participated but this year he's been mostly at the east coast and couldn't make it this weekend. The Triple Pentathlon is one of the most grueling and time intensive events on our calendar. To compete in it, you must swim a distance of all 4 strokes, and the Medley, a combination of all 4 strokes. The 5 races add your cumulative time and ranks you against all the other kids racing the events.
