Hello Waves Families, The Waves Store at Whitworth is in need of volunteers to help cover the hours it is open.  The Store is open three evenings a week (Tues-Thurs 5:30pm-7pm) to provide you and your swimmer with easy access to purchase affordable goggles, suits, caps, fins, team shirts and hoodies, etc.  We can’t run the Store without the help of volunteers.  If you are able to work in the Store while your swimmer has practice, please sign up on the “Events & Meets” page of the website!  Don’t...

Hello Waves Families, During the meeting last night with each swim group, the coaches told the swimmers what equipment they will need for the season.  Before you go the internet, support our team and check out the Waves Store.  We have fins, hand paddles, mesh equipment bags, caps, goggles, swimsuits, and jammers.  We also carry Spokane Waves shirts, hoodies, winter caps, water bottles and car decals.  The Store is open 5:30-7pm Tuesday-Thursday and we accept cash or check.

  Hello Waves Families,   Just a reminder that there will be an ALL PARENTS meeting tonight at5:30 in Weyerhaeuser Hall room 111 at Whitworth University. Coach Foreman will be there to talk about his experiences with coaching swimming and what he hopes to bring to the waves as our new head coach.   Athletes will be participating in Group Meetings on deck at the Whitworth pool from 5:30-6:15.     Congratulations to the 2013 Inland Empire Championship team!  50 swimmers traveled down to Pasco, WA last weekend for IES Champs.  SWAT placed 3rdoverall out of 16 teams at the meet.  The top 14 finishers in each event score points.  We couldn’t be more proud of how our team swam!   This last weekend the Waves took 23 athletes and 2 coaches to Wenatchee to compete at the Starlight Open. The days were long and hot but the Waves swam great and placed 5th over all. With only 23 athletes our team went 79 best times and scored a total of 436.5 points. Sakaiya McCoy came away with 6 first place finishes; several team records and high point for the girls 13-14 age group.
