BOO BASH FUN!!

What a fun weekend in Zeeland!!

Lakeview Aquatic Club took 16 athletes to Zeeland this past weekend to participate in the annual Boo Bash.  We came away with a ton of personal best times and even more great experiences!  For the majority of our kids, we saw them swim a "marathon" of events.  Danny Borozan, Major Bauman, Hugo Carsky, all swam 11 events over the two days while Christian Hancock and Lavell Marshall swam 10.  Coaches feel this workload provides the kids with experience in preparation for the championship season (March).  Even with the extreme workload, we came away with some outstanding performances! 

Peyton Werner won the 50 and 100 backstroke and earned best times in four out of her six events!

Ava Kirkham swam personal best times in all four of her events on Sunday.

Lauren Schillio and Gio Trejo-Uribe swam personal best times in all three of their events on Saturday.

Carleigh Hancock swam personal best times in six out of her eight events.

Everett Yoder and Ava Siedelburg both swam best times in four out of their six events.

Skylar Katsarsky swim best times in her 100 IM and 50 Breaststroke

Macey Rose swam her best time in the 100 Breaststroke (dropping 3.7 seconds!)

Peityn Kirkham swam best times in both the 100 Breaststroke and 50 Butterfly!

Henry Davis swam three events on Sunday, just missing best times in both the 50 free and 200 free.

And maybe the swim of the meet....  Our Senior boys competed in the 400 free relay after a grueling Saturday.  In their sixth event over 2.5 hours, they competed for a win (getting edged out by Byron Center).  Their time was right on the high school state qualifying time!!  Coaches were very impressed with their desire to compete after such a long day:)
