Weather Concerns

We will almost always swim (practice and meets) in the rain; however, in the event of thunderstorms or lightning, practice may be canceled or a meet postponed or canceled.  As you know, it is hard to judge weather conditions in advance in this area so you will have to use your own judgment as to whether a trip to the pool is warranted. 

Please don’t call the coaches as your guess will be as good as theirs in the event of threatening weather. We will post the notification if practice is canceled on the ANNOUNCEMENTS page.

Sharing the pool during the summer with others also leads to circumstances that may make it necessary to cancel a practice with little or no notice.

We make every effort to put any last minute practice cancellations or changes up on the web site by 4:45 p.m. and we will post the notification if practice is canceled on the ANNOUNCEMENTS page.

Please try to make arrangements to get your swimmer(s) home if the weather is threatening. The coaches will not leave your child alone at the pool but also cannot be expected to wait too long in the rain and lightning nor transport swimmers if the weather is bad.
