Wow, what a meet!! What a team spirit!! Our swimmers were absolutely amazing this past weekend at the Hawks Trials and Finals! It was truly a blast being on deck and celebrating every great performance. We are immensely proud to be a part of this fantastic swimming family. True to last year's budding tradition; the weather during our Winter Frost Meet proved to be unseasonably warm. It was with great excitement that we watched swimmers return from the holiday break with determination and confidence as we start the countdown towards championship season. Their achievements continue to add up: Eighty-three of our athletes laid down 253 Best Times, 4 SR METS cuts, 62 Zone Qualifying swims, 71 JO performances, and 267 Silver Championship qualifications, for a total of 404 Championship swims. We had a dedicated group of 37 swimmers brave the Thanksgiving traffic and travel north to compete in the Greenwood Meet  in Worcester, MA this past weekend. Our swimmers had the pleasure to compete in the impressive, newly constructed WPI Natatorium, and it was a joy to watch such an amazing amount of excellent swims. There were 131 personal bests, 2 Senior Mets Qualifying swims, 50 Zone Qualifying cuts, 71 JO Qualifying swims, and 168 Silver Championship swims. Patriot Alumnus Blair Wegescheide swam a blistering 54.65 in the Womens 100 Yard backstroke at the Pitt Invitational This Morning.   Her time places her in the coveted top seed position for tonight's finals and qualifies her for the US Open. The Patriots kicked up some steam at the Viking Classic this past weekend. Patriot Parents can now Purchase Team Polo Shirts with the Patriot Logo embroidered over the left chest.  The shirts come in White or Navy and in Cotton or anti Microbial wicking material.   The Deadline to order is Nov 18.   Shirts will be available prior to our Holiday Invitational. It was an awesome Distance Time Trial today. It's always great to see young athletes tackle the distance events with aggressiveness. Thirty-five of our swimmers embraced the challenge and had a blast achieving new times, reaching some personal goals, and counting for their teammates. 13 proved to be a lucky number today:  thirteen Team Records were broken and thirteen Championship times were achieved, including five JO swims and three Zone Qualifying cuts.
