Premier Competitive Age Groups

Tigershark Black - Where we LEARN to TRAIN
Ages: 9-10 years old with a minimum of 1 MV District Cut
Daily Training & Yardage: 75-90 minutes 5 days/week doing 2,000-4,000 yards
Basic Goals:

• Higher levels of aerobic training, IM training and interval training
• Advance stroke technique knowledge and advancement through sets
• To qualify for Champs and achieve AAA time standards
• Race 100's & 200’s of stroke, 200 & 400 IM, 500 Free and either the 1000 or 1650

Dryland Program: SwimStrong Dryland
Equipment: Kickboard, Fins, Snorkel, Pull Bouy & Paddles
Meets: Participate CSC local meets, 1-3 out of town meets, Participate in the highest level Championship meet swimmer qualifies for
What is Needed to Advance: minimum of 1 MV District Cut in the 11-12 Age Group

Tigershark Gold - Where we TRAIN to COMPETE
Ages: 11-12 years old with a minimum of 1 MV District Cut
Daily Training & Yardage: 90 minutes 6 days/week doing 3,000-5,000 yards
Basic Goals:

• Begin Aerobic Base training, IM  and interval training 
• Read a pace clock to know times
• Advance stroke technique knowledge and advancement through sets
• To qualify for MV District & Champs meets
• Race a 100 of each stroke, 200 IM & 200 Free

• Continues the teaching of the four competitive strokes
• Emphasis on swimming “sets”
• Walls and breathing patterns
• Advance racing skills

Dryland Program: SwimStrong Dryland
Equipment: Kickboard, Fins, Snorkel, Pull Bouy
Attendance: Swimmers are expected to attend 5 of the 6 practices. During the holidays/summers there may be additional practices offered as “doubles” will be introduced
Meets: Participate CSC local meets, 1-3 out of town meets, Participate in the highest level Championship meet swimmer qualifies for
What is Needed to Advance: There are 3 levels of the senior program - based on their qualifications is where the swimmers will be placed as they reach the 13-14 age group
