Anne Sievers Head Coach

Anne Sievers has been involved in the sport of swimming for most of her life and has been a swim coach for over 25 years. Sievers started her coaching career as the assistant coach at Mizzou where she helped the Tigers earn top-25 rankings for the first time in school history along with several individual swimmers qualifying for the NCAA championships. After four years with the Tigers she departed to start a family. Sievers spent 15 years coaching summer league teams and teaching lessons in Columbia before joining the Columbia Swim Club.

Sievers has been with the Tigersharks for the past 7 years serving as a lead coach for every group in the program until taking over this fall as the head coach of the team. For the last 3 years she was the director of age group swimming for the club. In that time CSC has seen growth, especially in our 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 age groups. Sievers brings a passion for the sport and developing all athletes of all levels in the pool!

As a swimmer, Sievers began competing in Illinois at the age of 8 before moving onto swim at the University of Michigan. As a swimmer, Sievers was a 10-time All-American, 5-time Big Ten Champion being named “Female Athlete of the Year” her senior season at Michigan. She is the only athlete in Illinois swimming history to be named “Illinois Swimmer of the Year” on four separate occasions. At the time she held numerous state records in all age groups with some still standing until recently. On the international level, Sievers represented the United States on multiple occasions on several national teams. She was a finalist at the US. Olympic Trials in 1992 and 1996, narrowly missing the Olympic Team in 1996.

When Sievers is not on the pool deck she’s most likely at her own kids sporting events. Katherine plays basketball for Columbia College and Luke runs for Rock Bridge High School.

Brandon Shinsato Co-Head Coach
Noah Mitchell Technical Director

I was born in Texas but quickly moved to Golden, CO. I finished all the swim lessons offered in the area and began competitive swimming with Summer League. I did that for 3 years before joining a fulltime club team, RMT. I was on that team until I was 18 and also did high school swimming all 4 years. I was recruited to Albion College - Michigan, and swam there all 4 years (2018-2022) while completing my degrees: Bachelor in Mathematics, Bachelor in Physics, Minor in Economics. I was mainly a mid-distance and distance swimmer, with the 400 IM being my specialty.

Following the pandemic, I realized I didn’t want to continue down the path my degrees were setting me up for. I wanted to stay with swimming because of what it means to me and what it has given me. I want to give that back and help the sport grow. I joined Mizzou; first - as a head camp counselor and volunteer coach. I became the Camp Director for the next two and a half years, and began a position as a Graduate Assistant Coach following the 2022-2023 season. During 2023-2025, I was the Director of Operations and acted as a full-time assistant coach. I was fully in charge of the 400 IM group and I was the secondary coach for the distance program by the end. In May 2025, I graduated from Mizzou with my Master’s in Positive Coaching and Athletic Leadership (Master of Education in Educational, School and Counseling Psychology.)

Carson Bauer Assistant Coach

Originally from Knoxville, Maryland, I grew up in the sport of swimming and spent 15 years in the water, finishing my competitive career as a senior on the Towson University swim team in March 2025. I earned my degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, but my passion for swimming has always been a central part of my life.

For the past four years, I’ve coached with the summer league team where my own swimming journey began, and I’ve also supported my club team in various coaching roles. I recently moved to Missouri in August and am excited to bring my experience and enthusiasm to the team here.

Outside of the pool, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend Elise and two cats, Juno and Crush.
Sophie Lindberg Assistant Coach

My name is Sophie Lindberg, and I’m from Fairway, Kansas — a suburb of Kansas City. I’m a junior at Mizzou studying Journalism with an emphasis in Reporting and Writing. I’ve swam my whole life in KC, starting my competitive swimming career in 7th grade after summer swim simply wasn’t enough for me anymore. I began at Kansas City Swim Academy (KCSA) and then moved onto the Kansas City Blazers (KCB) a year later. I stuck with KCB all the way through the summer following my senior year of high school and found community in my team.

In order to stay involved with the swim world, I have coached two country club swim teams in KC in the two summers I’ve been at school, the first time as an assistant and this past summer as the head swim coach. I am now at CSC for my first time coaching a competitive, year round team. I’m very excited to continue working with all these great swimmers!!

Outside of coaching, I enjoy hiking, art expression and trying new foods and desserts! I’m always looking for food suggestions, especially as a write for Vox Magazine’s Eat and Drink department. Come find me and tell me what I should try next!
