GCY gets 2ndat GYSSA Champs – 4 swimmers earn High Point Awards: Addy Herndon, Anis Yahi, Jo-Jo Williams, and Sarah Tomlin, 3 additional swimmers earned top 3 high point awards in his/her age group - Madi Jones, Noah Rock, and Libby Seay! Dear Swim Team Family and Friends, Our Community Support Campaign is underway and we need your help to make our team goal of $5000. The campaign is based on the premise that "every child deserves experiences such as camping, swim lessons, leadership and mentoring, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances." Every year the Bryan YMCA provides children the opportunity to have a place to exercise and learn valuable life long lessons. North Carolina 14&Under Champs GCY finished 12th OVERALL at this year’s NC 14&Under Champs, and the GIRLS were 10th Overall! We had several top 8/top 16 finishes, team records, best times, and NC Select Camp Invitees, and new YMCA National cuts! Please check the MEET EVENT PAGE for recent updates to the 2013 GCY Winter Invitational. We have moved up the Sunday afternoon start time to 12noon, meaning warmups will now start at 11:00am (that is 30 minutes earlier than meet information). We also had to delete the Saturday afternoon relays for ages 11&older, in order to run the meet under the alotted timeline. Please review the updated GCY entry lists. Saturday morning's practices will need to be cancelled, all levels,all groups. Bryan YMCA will not open before 9:30am tomorrowmorning. All swimmers that need to swim over the weekend: there's agreat workout posted on the dry erase board. We suggest calling afriend to meet them later in the day/weekend after roads clear inorder to practice. The workout is appropriate for Masters, SeniorPrep, Seniors (reduce to 4 rounds of main set) and National levelswimmers (all 8 rounds of main set). Be safe everyone!
