SAFE SPORT

The Greensboro Community YMCA Swim Team Coaches and Administrators all have the best interest of your child in mind.  It is our goal that not only do they enjoy the personal reward and physical benefits of the sport of swimming, but as our mission statement declares…that they develop the traits of integrity, self-esteem and caring through the sport of swimming.

USA Swimming, YUSA Swimming, the City of Greensboro, and the YMCA of Greensboro all of which GCY is a member believe in Safe Sport.  We are committed to fostering a fun, healthy, and safe environment for all our members. Safe Sport programs are designed to respond to and prevent instances of abuse and misconduct within the sport of swimming.  We want to educate our members, and put policies in place to create the best possible environments for all members.
