Congratulations to Kayla Lilly for being selected to the Eastern Zone Camp! Kayla is one of 8 swimmers in New England selected to attend. USA Swimming seeks to identify the emerging young athletes in each Zone, offering them a unique motivational and educational experience. Only 28 female and 28 male athletes are selected in total. Shawmut swimmers posted 191 best times over the course of the championship weekend at MIT and placed 3rd overall in team standings! 19 team records were broken and Shawmut's 13-14 girls 200 Medley Relay (Grasberger, Lilly, Pierce, Brindisi) crushed the NE record with a time of 1:51.85. Individual record breakers: Megan Pierce (13-14 1650 free, 200 fly, 400 IM), Shawn Nee (13-14 200 back), Richard Smith (13-14 1650 free), Kayla Lilly (13-14 100 & 200 breaststroke) and Lauryn Brown (15-18 50 free). Shawmut had a great weekend at 12 & Under Championships in White River Junction, VT. With every team in New England eligible to attend, the meet hosted all of the most competitive 12 & Under athletes in New England. Shawmut had more qualifiers for the meet than almost every other team and scored a total over of 917 points throughout the weekend! Congratulations to Christian Schoen for placing 6th overall in the 9-10 boy highpoint standings with 136 points, and to Molly Pierce for placing 3rd overall in the 11-12...

At USA Junior Nationals, the Shawmut Candy Cane Classic, and the MIT invitational, our group posted a grand total of 779 best times! Gabe Davis and Roy Sung traveled to Columbus, Ohio with coach Matt for the Junior National meet and represented Shawmut well! The MIT meet offered a trials/finals format, and many in the group qualified for finals in numerous events. The meet hosted many teams from outside of New England, and it was a great opportunity for our group to compete against swimmers from around the country.The CCC...

The Scholastic All-America program is open to all 10th-12th grade USA Swimming members who earn a 3.5 GPA or better and achieve a Junior National Bonus Time Standard or swim in a selected disability championship meet or the Open Water National Championships.
