Are you ready to take the plunge into a rewarding coaching role that will position you as a leader in the aquatic sports market? O2 Performance Aquatics is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Assistant Swimming Coach to make a significant impact on our development groups.
 
As an Assistant Coach within our esteemed Age Group program, you will be a pivotal part of the success of our 12 & Under and Pre-Competition groups. We are on the hunt for the ideal candidate who embodies motivation, creativity in instruction, and a genuine passion for the sport of swimming.
 
Role and Responsibilities:
 
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
 
- Delivering comprehensive instruction across various levels and age groups, adhering to the team's instructional guidelines.
- Crafting and executing meticulously planned workouts encompassing technique refinement, endurance building, stroke development, drills, and fostering team spirit.
- Imparting expert guidance on all four swimming strokes.
- Exhibiting clear and precise skill demonstrations, while effectively analyzing and correcting performance using appropriate teaching aids.
- Creating a secure and encouraging teaching environment.
- Active participation in all in-service educational sessions.
- Maintaining meticulous records and preparing certificates of completion.
- Ensuring transparent communication of each athlete's progress to both swimmers and parents.
- Contributing to and supporting fundraising initiatives for the program.
- Providing dynamic leadership, motivational coaching, and impactful instruction.
- Assisting with administrative tasks related to the team and swim meets.
- Participation in swim team events such as meets, meetings, and social gatherings.
 
Qualifications:
 
To excel in this role, you will need:
 
- Preferred experience as a competitive swimmer.
- A minimum of 2 years of swim coaching experience.
- Certification as a USA Swimming Coach or a strong willingness to obtain the necessary certifications.
- Preferred ASCA Level 2 certification, though not mandatory.
- A vibrant and dynamic presence coupled with excellent communication skills.
- Certifications in CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid or a strong willingness to obtain them.
- Applicants must be at least 20 years of age.
