MSSAC 2024 - 2025 COACHING STAFF

Aris Bousoulegkas has been a Head Coach and Director in major
private clubs in his hometown Thessaloniki, Greece. With over 20
years of experience in creating and coordinating plans for the
development of elite athletes, Aris is a true asset to MSSAC.
His leadership abilities, connection with his athletes, skills, and
passion for coaching have awarded him with many victories at the
National Championships with his biggest accomplishment, his athlete
Diogenis Tsitouridis placing 16th worldwide in the 1500m
(personal record: 15.20.92) according to 2004 Fina World Ranking
from January to May 26, 2005. Aris received a degree in Physical
and Sports Education with a specialization in swimming from the
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

With
many years of swimming and 10 years of coaching experience at a
competitive level, Coach Nail has had the privilege of learning
from some of the top coaches in Canada. He has coached swimmers who
have broken provincial and national records and have been selected
for the Canadian Junior and Senior teams. Nail's ultimate goal is
to help every swimmer reach their best and enjoy success in the
sport.
Youssef
is a seasoned professional with a rich background in swimming and
sports science. A former professional swimmer with 18 years of
competitive experience, Youssef has since transitioned into a
successful career in physical education. He holds a Master’s
degree in Strength and Conditioning and is a certified coach with
multiple degrees in sport science. Drawing on over a decade of
academic and practical expertise, Youssef is passionate about
nurturing the next generation of athletes and helping them achieve
their full potential in the pool and beyond.

Brian
has many years of coaching swimmers of all abilities and ages. He
is in his third year with MSSAC. He has been mentored Olympic
National Coaches in Open Water swimming. He has coached swimmers at
the 2012 World Junior Open Water Championships in Weiland, Ontario
and at the 2022 World Cup competition in Lac Megantic, Quebec. He
has also coached swimmers that have successfully swam across the
English Channel and Lake Ontario. He has been a coaching member of
the Canadian National Team at Junior and Open Water International
events. Swimmers have enjoyed successes at all levels of swimming
– Regional, Provincial, and National. He continues to enjoy
coaching young swimmers and with the challenges presented to him by
them. His aim is to Inspire them and give them the necessary skill
set to develop into future champions in and out of the pool.

Moh
is a passionate swim coach who has been with MSSAC since March of
2024, where he was an assistant coach for the Regional Development
group. As a swim instructor of 7 years, he worked with the City of
Mississauga as well as a private instructor / coach teaching new
swimmers and competitive swimmers alike through pre-competitive
programs and in-water instruction. He is also still an avid swimmer
and continues to train and compete with Mississauga Masters. He
believes that reinforcing good technique as well keeping practices
fun are the most important recipes for keeping swimmers motivated
and excited to swim.

Drayton
has been coaching for over 20 years in a variety of sports.
He has coached adults, children and teens in the sport of
Canoe/Kayak, Dragonboat and now, swimming. He has been with
MSSAC for 3 seasons. Drayton has his Competition Development
coaching qualifications in the sport of Canoe/Kayak and is fully
certified as a level 1 coach in swimming. He has sent
athletes to multiple National Championships, the Jr. World
Championships, and The Canada Games, and has attended 2 Canada
Games as a coach. Drayton also has a degree in Kinesiology
from McMaster University and Bachelor of Education from UofT.
He currently works with the Peel Board of Education when he is not
at the pool. Drayton continues to strive to help every
athlete reach their potential.

Leticia
Lopes brings with her a deep passion for the sport. She has 15
years of competitive swimming experience, having trained with
MSSAC, ESWIM, competing as a varsity athlete for four years at the
University of Guelph, and now a part of the Mississauga Masters. In
addition to her athletic career, she holds a degree in Marketing
Management. Her extensive background in the sport, both at the club
and varsity levels, gives her valuable insights into the challenges
and triumphs of swimming. She believes her firsthand experience as
an athlete equips her to effectively guide and inspire her
swimmers, helping them unlock their full potential.

Luke has been a coach for 1 year for the WAVE program as a lead coach. He has over 10 years of competitive swimming experience with MSSAC. Luke's experience with the sport and the club has really given him an understanding of the MSSAC spirit and knowledge about the sport bringing it to the younger generations.
