Welcome to Legacy Swimming! Our competitive swimming program ensures every swimmer gets the right training for their skill level and goals. From first-time learners to championship performers, we have a place for everyone on our team.

What You'll Learn:

  • Master 25-yard freestyle and backstroke
  • Learn all four competitive strokes legally
  • Build confidence in the water
  • ​​Prepare for competitive swimming

​Ready to Join? Swimmers must be able to swim 25 freestyle and backstroke. This is our fun, supportive pre-competitive group focused on stroke development and water safety.

Ages 8-10 β€’ Building Competitive Skills

What Makes This Group Special:

  • USA Swimming legal in all four strokes
  • Learning flip turns and racing dives
  • Mostly 8&U "B"-"A" times or 9-10 "C"-"B" times
  • Focus on stroke technique and race patterns
  • Building team unity and support

Training Goals:

  • Achieve Oregon Swimming state qualifying times
  • Master 200 IM and 200 freestyle
  • Balance strengths and improve weaknesses

Ages 9-10 β€’ Advanced Young Competitors

Perfect For: Experienced, motivated 9-10 year olds committed to competitive swimming

Swimmer Profile:

  • Mostly "B+"-"A" times
  • Goal: Make State or Age Group Regionals
  • Ready for goal setting and achievement tracking
  • Love precision, aerobic work, and FUN!

Training Focus:

  • 200 IM and 200-500 freestyle training
  • Developing skills for future senior swimming
  • 4-5 practices per week recommended

Meet Participation: Expected to remain competitive and active
Equipment Needed: Water bottle, goggles, fins, mesh bag, kickboard, pull buoy

Ages 11-12 β€’ Developing Technique

  • Improved flip turns and starts
  • Strong stroke technique and aerobic base

Training Goals:

  • 200 IM and 200 freestyle focus
  • Balance all strokes to eliminate weaknesses
  • Build foundation for advanced swimming

Meet Participation: Expected and encouraged!
