Swim Team Attendance Expectations for Practices and Meets

Attendance At Practices - High School Only Swimmers

• All high school practices during school days are mandatory.
• If you cannot attend a practice or a meet, coaches must be notified as soon as possible before the scheduled event.
• Attendance will be taken.  If you miss practice(s) and fall below 80% attendance for unexcused absences during regular school days, consequences may be taken.
• You are a varsity athlete. Commitment and accountability are required to be part of this team.
• Failure to notify a coach about an absence will result in consequences.
• Repeat instances will result in consequences.

Attendance At Practices - Club Swimmers

• You are expected to attend all club practices. 
• If you want to attend a high school practice, you must CONTACT & ASK the coaches and receive confirmation from the coaches each time.  Lane space must be checked.  High school only swimmers will have priority.
• High school coaches will/may reach out to club coaches to confirm practice attendance.

Attendance At Holiday Practices

• When school is NOT in session, those practices DO NOT count toward practice attendance.

Attendance At Meets

• All high school meets are mandatory. 
• If you cannot attend a meet, the coaches must be notified as soon as possible.
• If multiple meets are missed, there will be consequences.
• Tech suits are not to be worn at dual meets.  Special circumstances must be cleared by the coaches.

Accountability

• Consequences range from warnings, missed racing opportunities, and dismissal from team.
