Dwest Swimmers Excel at the JV Invitational Meet

Congratulations to our swimmers at tonight’s JV Invitational meet.  Many athletes swam their best times and several qualified for the Scott Elliott Ches-Mont Invitational meet ("SECM") on Saturday!
 
Freshman Ads Fieo dropped 2.31 seconds in the 200 freestyle and freshman Gavin Riley dropped 4.5 seconds.  In the 200 IM, freshman Kunj Tailor dropped over 5 seconds.
  
We saw some FAST races in the 50 freestyle!  Sophomore Aubrey Lydon qualified for the SECM with a time of 27.02 seconds, along with sophomore Addie Campbell who swam a 27.57.  Sophomore CC Bailey dropped 3 tenths of a second in the 50 freestyle, and her younger brother, Austin Bailey, dropped almost a 1/2 second.  Sophomore Owen Durkin not only won his heat, but turned in a 24.87 to qualify for the SECM.
 
Sophomore Elle Whitton dropped 2.14 seconds in the 100 butterfly and we’ll see her swimming at the SECM on Saturday as well!  Freshman Brody Loux also dropped over 2 seconds in his 100 butterfly race.
 
Sophomore Aubrey Lydon earned a second SECM cut with a 59.73 in the 100 freestyle.  In addition, sophomores CC Bailey dropped .27 seconds and Brianna Maillard dropped .67 in the 100 freestyle.
 
In the 100 backstroke, freshman Austin Bailey dropped over one second.
 
In the 100 breaststroke, sophomore Lily Krausse swiftly joined the SECM qualifiers, dropping almost 5 seconds with a time of 1:21.21.
 
Finally, freshman Kunj Tailor ended the night with dropping close to 2 seconds in his 100 breaststroke race.
