DWest v. Henderson Meet Recap

Downingtown West High School West Swim and Dive

It was nice to see the Whippets back in action!  Our strong girls team won against Henderson HS last night.  Our boys team lost, but they put up quite a fight.

In addition, we held our Teacher Impact event last night in which our seniors recognized a teacher who has had a positive impact on their life.  It was great listening to why these teachers mean so much to our athletes (including Coach Shane and his wife, Amanda), and there were many smiles shared by all.

Diving

The West Dive team has a reputation for keeping meets fun and having unwavering support for each other.  This held true yesterday as well.  Junior Kaylie Thompson (3rd), freshman Kelly Dunn (5th), and senior Mia Enterline (6th) competed for the girls.  Senior Jack Enterline (2nd) and junior Liam Dennin (3rd) competed for the boys.  All five of our divers went 6 for 6 with their lists and threw tons of beautiful dives.  It was Liam’s first meet back after his injury last winter and those feet first entries were fantastic!  Coach Kelsey and Coach Ryann could not be prouder of the efforts and positive attitude shown by all of our divers yesterday.  Great job team!

Next up is the meet against Bishop Shanahan on Wednesday at 3:30 pm.  Go Whippets!
