Success against Lower Moreland HS this past Friday!

On Friday, we had another meet against Lower Moreland High School.  Our team continued to display strong swimming and won both the girls and the boys meets.  Some highlights included the girls sweeping first through third places on both the 200 IM (senior Sydney Martin, sophomore Abby Harlan, and sophomore Seraphim Rahardjo) and the 100 butterfly (sophomore Cooper Jones, freshman Morgan Harlan, and senior Callie Ritter).  Other noteworthy finishes included our swimmers capturing first and second places on the girls 200 freestyle (freshman Ellie McNamara and junior Abby Compher), boys 200 freestyle (sophomore Henry Dennin and junior Logan Seiss), boys 100 butterfly (junior Logan Seiss and freshman Sean Borkowski), and girls 100 backstroke (senior Sydney Martin and junior Addy Compher). 

The first place finishes did not end there and also included the boys 200 IM (freshman Shane Martin), boys 50 freestyle (senior Zach Mourar), girls 100 freestyle (junior Leah Lacovara, also obtaining the District consideration time again), girls 500 freestyle (junior Ella Bice), boys 100 backstroke (freshman Shane Martin), and girls 100 breaststroke (senior Callie Ritter).

The other swimmers who scored points or who finished in the top five for our team included junior Skylar Bailey (200 freestyle), sophomore William Vaughn (200 freestyle and 100 freestyle), junior Caroline Cusack (50 freestyle and 100 freestyle), freshman Morgan Harlan (50 freestyle), senior Josh Miller (50 freestyle), sophomore Mary Kate Johnson (100 freestyle), senior Ike Durkin (100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke), junior Connor Cianciulli (100 freestyle), sophomore Molly Krumaker (500 freestyle), senior Jack Taylor (500 freestyle), senior Nathan Reynolds (500 freestyle), freshman Noah Yost (100 backstroke), junior Jack Sheldon (100 backstroke), senior Anya Zebluim (100 breaststroke), freshman Mia Enterline (100 breaststroke), and sophomore Henry Dennin (100 breaststroke).

Our relay teams did fantastic, including first place finishes for the girls 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, and 400 freestyle relay.  The girls also took third place for all three relays.  For the boys, our team had second and third place finishes for the 200 medley relay, a second place finish for the 200 freestyle relay, and first and third place finishes for the 400 freestyle relay. 

Finally, our female divers swept the meet securing first through third places for the team (junior Grace McNamara, sophomore Reilly Durkin, and freshman Mia Enterline).  Junior Micah Russell also gave some strong performances as the lone male diver at this meet.

Our next team meet is against Coatesville Area School District on Wednesday, December 21st at 3:30 pm.  It is a home meet at the Lionville YMCA.  We hope to see you there.  Go Whippets!!!
